By: E&P Staff Allentown, Pa.-based GMA recently sold several inserters to U.S. and German newspapers and to a commercial printer.
The News Enterprise, a Landmark Communications daily in Elizabethtown, Ky., bought a 16:2 SLS-1000R. The Hickory (N.C.) Daily Record, a Media General paper, ordered a 20:2 SLS-1000AR.
E.W. Scripps Co. added a 14:2 SLS-1000AR for its Ventura County (Calif.) Star and a 16:2 SLS-1000AR for the Abilene (Texas) Reporter News.
Overseas, GMA closed a deal with Westfalischer Anzeinger, Hamm, Germany, for a 10:2 SLS3000.
RR Donnelly bought two SLS3000 3:3 inserters, both equipped with three jacket-opening stations -- one for its Glasgow, Ky., facility, the other going into its Torrance, Calif., plant.
