Governor, Senator, Editors, Columnists at NCEW Confab

By: E&P Staff The National Conference of Editorial Writers (NCEW) will have a prominent lineup of speakers at its 60th annual convention Sept. 13-16 in Pittsburgh.

They include Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.), U.S. Education Secretary Margaret Spellings, former U.S. Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill, and Teresa Heinz Kerry, among others.

Topics discussed at the convention will include the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, homeland security, health care, the No Child Left Behind act, philanthropy, online editorials, and more. And there will be "NCEW University" seminars coordinated by writing coach/self-syndicated political humor columnist Rick Horowitz.

Members of the NCEW include editorial page editors, columnists, and others.
