By: E&P Staff SustainCommWorld LLC, Mercer Island, Wash., next October will launch an event focusing on conversion of media production to sustainable workflows. SustainCommWorld - The Green Media Show, at Boston's Marriott Copley Square Hotel, aims to bring together executives, media professionals and vendors seeking sustainable solutions.

SustainCommWorld said its conference and trade show will focus on bottom-line solutions including: increased brand equity; growing shareholder value; business risk reduction; supply chain activity; sustainability reporting; carbon foot-printing and more. The conference will offer perspectives on all aspects of sustainable communications, from initiating a sustainability program, best practices and implementation strategies, to sustainability reports.

Chaired by Institute for Sustainable Communications Senior Research Fellow Don Carli, the event will minimize its own carbon footprint by providing an expo floor with ready-to-use, pre-manufactured, recyclable booths, eliminating shipping, drayage, set-up and tear-down time and expense.

SustainCommWorld, in cooperation with the Graphic Communication Department of the College of Liberal Arts of California Polytechnic State University, also is conducting the first Business of Green Media conference on January 24, 2008, in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

The Institute for Sustainable Communication identifies itself as "an entrepreneurial non-profit organization committed to educating and training the next generation of business leaders needed to grow innovative, sustainable enterprises that create jobs, foster environmental restoration and improve the quality of life in communities they touch."
