Halifax Paper to Run CCI News, Ad Systems

Posted
By: E&P Staff The Chronicle Herald in Halifax, Nova Scotia, recently signed an agreement with CCI Europe for both its NewsDesk editorial and AdDesk advertising systems.

In addition to satisfaction with the systems, Chronicle Herald IT Director Paul Williams said CCI's established relationship with Neasi-Weber International was a "significant factor" in the selection owing to his paper's use of NWI business software.

Williams cited photo handling as a "key editorial improvement" with NewsDesk and expected other efficiencies to come from processing wire copy and agate text. On the ad side, he called integration of advertising and A/R a "quantum improvement," and he said gains are anticipated in pricing flexibility, ad production and tracking, and an ability to merge classified and circulation call centers.
