Working with Handmark, a Kansas City, Mo.-based developer and distributor of mobile applications and services, the London Evening Standard began offering a new mobile news application Monday.
Sponsored by British Airways London City, the free app can be downloaded on virtually any smartphone, including iPhone, Nokia (S60 5th edition), BlackBerry, Android, and Windows Mobile devices at http://bit.ly/bQiTXY.
The application provides readers with instant access to all the latest Evening Standard news and information. Users can quickly and easily browse through news, business, sports, entertainment, style and other categories, with corresponding photos. Articles from the mobile app can be saved for later reading and shared by e-mail and various social networking sites.
Handmark said its proprietary Mobile Publishing Platform technology supports development across the widest range of mobile devices, as well as distribution, monetization for newspapers, magazines and other online content destinations.
