'Harrison Daily Times' Names New Publisher

By: E&P Staff Ronnie E. Bell has been appointed publisher of the Harrison (Ark.) Daily Times, effective Nov. 1. He most recently served as publisher of The Daily Herald in Roanoke Rapids, N.C.

Bell succeeds D. Jeff Christenson, who is retiring.

"The company is clearly better today for Jeff's accomplishments at Harrison," Steve Trolinger, president of Community Publishers, the parent company of the Harrison Daily Times, said in a statement. "This outstanding community newspaper will only get better with Ronnie's leadership.

Christenson began his career at the Harrison paper in the circulation department and was named publisher when his father-in-law, the late J.E. Dunlap, retired.
