Health Care District Ejects Reporter From Hospital Meeting

It was strategic planning day at the Palm Beach County Health Care District today, but the morning discussion on what to do about declining admissions at Lakeside Medical Center in Belle Glade wasn’t open to the public. The district declared its “District Hospital Holdings” strategic planning session closed to the public based on plans to discuss possible alliances with other hospitals or groups. When a Post editorial board member tried to attend the meeting, she was asked to leave.
