By: Meg Campbell The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies (NPES) elected a new chairman and four new directors at the organization's 2007 Annual Conference, held in November in San Diego, California.
Henry Brandtjen , president of Brandtjen & Kluge Inc., was chosen to succeed Thomas Saggiomo, president & CEO of Agfa Corporation as NPES chairman. Brandtjen is the fourth generation of his family to work at the family-owned Brandtjen &Kluge, which manufactures graphic communications printing and finishing equipment.
The newly-elected NPES board directors elected are Vincent Lapinski, CEO of MAN Roland Inc., Stephen Metcalf, President of Air Motion Systems, Karl Puehringer, CEO of Baldwin Technology Company Inc., and Steven Reny, President of Standard Finishing Systems.
NPES, a co-sponsor of Print and Graph Expo, is a U.S. trade association representing more than 400 companies that manufacture and distribute equipment, software and supplies used in printing, publishing and conversion.
