We'll get to why I didn't in a minute. But first, we need to start at the beginning.

On Oct. 23, in the closing days of the campaign for Tuesday's election, Gov. John Kasich, his Democratic challenger Ed FitzGerald and Green Party candidate Anita Rios agreed to sit for an endorsement interview with the Editorial Board of The Plain Dealer and the Northeast Ohio Media Group.
