Hopewell News Closes; Another Newspaper Being Created

The 97-year-old Hopewell News shut down abruptly last Thursday, but a new newspaper covering Hopewell and Prince George County communities is being created.

Alabama-based Lancaster Management Inc., which has owned the Hopewell Publishing Co. since 1968, closed the Hopewell News’ operations because it was “unfortunately no longer economically viable,” according to a statement.
