By: E&P Staff Stephen Weis has been named vice president and general manager of Chron.com, the Houston Chronicle's Web site. Weis is promoted from director of online sales.
Weis will oversee all Internet operations and services for Chron.com. He joined the Chronicle in 2004 and has held Internet operations and sales positions at Freedom Communications, Advance Internet/Publications and the Seattle Times Co.
Scott Clark has been appointed editor of Chron.com, in addition to his role as vice president. He will be responsible for all Internet content, including a redesign scheduled to launch in early summer.
