'How I Did It' Success Stories Offered on Job Columnists' Blog

By: Dave Astor The "J.T. & Dale Talk Jobs" columnists are posting a special series on their blog called "How I Did It."

J.T. O'Donnell told E&P that the series is "where we showcase readers who have managed to find a new job in spite of the troubling economy. We had a surge in online subscribers as a result."

O'Donnell and Dale Dauten began collaborating on "Talk Jobs" -- syndicated by King Features -- last year.

"My own focus has been on pulling in a younger readership," said O'Donnell, noting that this has involved launching the blog, offering podcasts, addressing more young professionals' questions, and more. "It?s been a real pleasure to see the reader base expanding."

E&P's May issue included a story about recession-related content in work-oriented columns and comics.
