By: Staff Reports Publishers Can Set Up Own Reprints Businesses

Renton, Wash.-based iCopyright.com has created a suite of Web-
based tools that allow publishers to implement their own online
licensing and reprints businesses. ICopyright Publisher Central
will allow publishers to track activity and set prices and
policies for re-use of their content.

The company's Instant Clearance Service allows publishers to
license content from their Web sites. Readers who click on the
iCopyright icon can license and purchase content under the
conditions outlined by individual publishers.

ICopyright also recently partnered with Click Industries of
Minneapolis to allow writers to copyright their work at
icopyright.com.
