Idaho 'Post Falls Press' to Close Main Office

By: The Post Falls Press, seeking to cut costs, says it will close its main office next month.

Publisher Jim Thompson says the decision will not effect daily publication of the newspaper.

Instead, Thompson says the closure should help the newspaper cut back on overhead costs and save money. Thompson says the decision was considered before the national economy weakened and that very few customers actually use the office on Spokane Street.

Thompson says the newspaper intends to maintain its full editorial presence and that reporters will begin working from home.

The newspaper is owned by the Hagadone Corp.
