By: E&P Staff "Dilbert" creator Scott Adams got on a long line at a Los Angeles book convention this past weekend, wondering which author would soon be signing books at the front of the line. He turned out to be ... Scott Adams.
That's an anecdote the cartoonist told today on his blog. It seems Adams had some time to spare before signing books, so he was wandering around to see if he might spot a celebrity when he got on the line for the unknown author.
"I listened to the people ahead of me and tried to figure out who I was waiting for," recalled Adams. "Man, was I disappointed. They were in line waiting for me. Luckily I am virtually invisible in crowds, so no one noticed me slink away and go to the head of the line to sign books."

Adams' "Dilbert" comic runs in more than 2,000 newspapers via United Media.
