By: E&P Staff Comic fans can now personalize their iGoogle home pages with themes from 50 comics.

The new themes were rolled out as part of Google's celebration of the 40th anniversary of the San Diego Comic-Con. Among the comics Google users can choose from are current favorites "Dilbert," "Pearls Before Swine" and "Nancy." Also included in the list of themes are superheroes Batman, Superman and Iron Man, as well as Universal Press' "Garfield" and "Ziggy" and King Features' "Mutts."

Classic comic themes are are also available. King Features' Popeye makes an appearance, as does United's "Peanuts." As of Wednesday afternoon, the "Peanuts" theme is the second most popular, with just over 102,000 users. That still places it well behind the 215,000 users of the Superman theme.

"This new collection of themes provides users with a wide variety of popular comics to decorate their page to reflect their personal interests," United Media said in a statement. "And it gives Google's comics partners an opportunity to connect with their communities and fan bases through a new medium."
