ImpreMedia Promotes Two In Ad, Marketing Positions

By: E&P Staff ImpreMedia, the nation's largest chain of Spanish-language newspapers, on Wednesday named Erich Linker to senior vice president of sales, responsible for corporate-wide ad sales initiatives for the company's papers, magazines, and online platforms. He had been responsible for national ad sales at ImpreMedia since 2004.

"This new position reflects more accurately Erich's growing role with the corporation," ImpreMedia Chairman and CEO John Paton said in a statement.

ImpreMedia also named J. Alex Gomez corporate director of marketing, in charge of corporate-wide marketing efforts to generate circulation and readership growth, sales growth, and audience satisfaction. Gomez joined ImpreMedia in July as director of marketing for La Opini?n, the biggest Spanish-language daily in the country. He had previously worked for 20 years on brands such as McDonalds, Nike, Pepsi, Mitsubishi Motors, and Carl's Jr.

The appointments are effective immediately, Paton said.
