By: E&P Staff Beginning next week, Paddock Publications' suburban Daily Herald and the weekly magazine Crain's Chicago Business are combining their help-wanted ads.

With one buy, the family-owned publications said, recruitment ads will appear on Sundays in the 150,000-circulation Daily Herald. On Mondays the ads will appear in the 50,000-circulation Crain's and in the Daily Herald's "Executive Career Page" in the Business section, plus in two Paddock niche publications: Reflejos, the Spanish-language weekly with a free distribution of about 100,000; and Chicago Suburban Jobs, a weekly with a free distribution of 20,000.

The combined ads will also appear for 30 days on ChicagoJobs.com, the online recruitment site for several area newspapers published by Paddock, Hollinger International Inc., and Liberty Group Publications.

Joe Shaker, general manager of ChicagoJobs.com and CEO of Shaker Recruitment Advertising & Communications, said in a statement that the Daily Herald's high-demographics audience "provided our advertisers with a new, fresh venue to recruit the management-level professional that has always been the hallmark of Crain?s."

The first ads in the partnership will appear March 14.
