By: E&P Staff Dauphin Graphic Machines, Inc., Millersburg, Pa., has been acquired by Manugraph Ltd., Mumbai, India, the company announced today, creating what it calls "the largest single-width press manufacturing company."
The new company will use the name Manugraph-DGM.
The companies have been leaders in their respective markets for singlewide machines. In the current business environment, "the need to form worldwide alliances is a must," DGM CEO Chris Lunt said in a statement announcing the deal. "Each company's strengths perfectly complimented the other's," he added.
Lunt also cited "global sourcing of components, world class, cost effective manufacturing facilities, incredible R&D resources" and compatible "cultures of our respective companies."
Manugraph-DGM said it will maintain manufacturing and assembly operations at its three facilities - two in India and one in the U.S. -- and continue to offer all products from each, as well as sales through DGM representatives in North America and elsewhere, and Manugraph representatives in India and throughout the rest of the world.
