By: E&P Staff Inland Newspaper Machinery Corp., Lenexa, Kan., reported fourth-quarter sales of three second-hand presses to customers outside the United States.

A nine-unit Goss Community press was purchased by Indonesia's PT Aceh Media Grafika, an eight-unit Goss Urbanite went to an unidentified user in Peru, and a Harris V15 series press was sold to a printer in Mexico.

"There continues to be strong interest in good used presses, particularly from buyers in Latin America and Southeast Asia," Inland President Beau Campbell said in a statement.

Owing to consolidation of printing operations, Inland's brokerage division has added to its offerings two Goss Urbanite presses in Indiana owned by Paxton Media and two Urbanite presses in Massachusetts owned by Newspapers
of New England.

Inland also reported that with its partner Morrison & Head, a property tax valuation and consulting services firm based in Austin, Texas, it was able to reduce property tax assessments by approximately 50% at The Tampa Tribune, Austin American-Statesman, and Orlando Sentinel. The reductions resulted in first-year six-figure tax savings, according to Inland.

"We are currently working with several other metro newspapers to attain similar results." Campbell said.
