Posted
By: E&P Staff The Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) is taking a cue from newspaper companies that have grown fond of reporting quarter-to-quarter comparisons.

The IAB reported that Internet advertising revenue ticked up 1.7% to $5.5 billion in Q3 -- compared to Q2. For Q3 year-over-year, Internet advertising revenue declined 5.4%.

PricewaterhouseCoopers provided the figures to the IAB.

"While all segments of the media industry have experienced declines, online advertising revenue resilient and is once again showing signs of growth," David Silverman, a PricewaterhouseCoopers partner, said in a statement.

The Newspaper Association of America reported last week that Q3 online advertising revenue fell 16.9% to $623 million year-over-year.
