By: E&P Staff Internet advertising revenues totaled a record $3.1 billion during Q3 2005, a 34% increase over the same period a year ago, and total yearly revenues are expected to exceed $12 billion, according to a report released Monday by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

For the full year 2004, Internet ad revenues were $9.6 billion, also a record.

The 34% year-over-year growth rate is consistent with the 30-60% advertising revenue gains at most newspaper companies, as previously reported here.
