By: Israel is continuing to bar foreign journalists from entering the Gaza Strip, despite a Supreme Court decision to allow a limited number of reporters to enter the territory.
The ban has been in place since a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas began to fray on Nov. 5 as militants intensified rocket fire on Israel.
Israel has continued to maintain the closure since launching its Gaza air offensive on Dec 27.
A legal challenge by foreign journalists prompted the court ruling this week to allow a limited number of foreign journalists to enter during times when the Erez Crossing is open.
Israel opened it Friday to allow several hundred Palestinians with foreign passports to leave Gaza, but kept reporters out.
