By: E&P Staff There is some more heartening news regarding the journalism job front. Not only are wages
rising, but also journalism school graduates are finding jobs -- in the field of journalism.
Daily Finance's Jeff Bercovici reports that 64% of students -- 197 of them -- graduating from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism found positions relative to the field.
"Many of our students have gotten job offers in the last couple of weeks, so 64% is lower than the actual number now employed," Elizabeth Weinreb Fishman, Columbia's associate dean for communications told Bercovici. In fact, more students found jobs at places like The New York Times, than last year's class.
Students at CUNY's Graduate School of New York are experiencing the same trends.
