Janice Kaplan Named Exec. Editor of 'Parade'

By: E&P Staff Parade magazine named Janice Kaplan executive editor, effective immediately.

In her expanded role, Kaplan works directly with the magazine?s writers, in-house editorial staff, and with senior management to develop multi-platform projects and initiatives. She has served as a consultant to Parade since January.

Before coming to Parade, Kaplan was deputy editor of TV Guild magazine and executive producer of the TV Guide Television Group, where she created and produced more than 30 television specials that aired primetime on ABC, FOX, VH1, and other networks.

She began her career as on-air reporter for CBS radio and went on to be a producer at ABC?s Good Morning America.

A monthly columnist at Seventeen Magazine, Kaplan was also a contributing editor at Vogue.
