By: E&P Staff Three of Japan's top dailies will collaborate on an online edition and with regional distribution in an effort to protect their business from the Internet, according to the Agence France Presse.

The Yomiuri Shimbun, Asahi Shimbun and Nikkei business newspaper will create a new Web site that posts articles from the three papers, announced Asahi Shimbun Co. president Kotaro Akiyama in a news conference last Monday that was covered by Agence France Presse.

AFP reported the companies also will cooperate in newspaper deliveries in regional areas, and will share printing facilities and distribution networks in cases of disasters.
