By: E&P Staff JetBlue Airways and The New York Times have announced the launch of ?Times on Air,? an exclusive in-flight video magazine.
The video magazine will feature content from the newspaper?s TimesTalks events, which feature interviews of newsmakers and cultural leaders by the Times? journalists, as well as content from the Times? Web site, NYTimes.com.
The content will be updated each month, and will be available only on JetBlue flights. The program is being presented by the JetBlue Card from American Express.
The first two programs of ?Times on Air? will feature interviews with such stars as Emmy Award-winning comedian Larry David, actor Forest Whitaker, and Brian Williams, the anchor and managing editor of the ?NBC Nightly News.? A segment with Times food columnist Mark Bittman?also known as The Minimalist?has the writer preparing risotto with famed chef Mario Batali; other segments include highlights from fashion designer Marc Jacobs? Fall 2007 collection, and reviews of Apple?s new TV streaming media box and Microsoft?s Ultra-Mobile PC.
Much of the content shown on ?Times on Air? will also be available for readers on the program?s Web site, located at www.jetblue.com/timesonair.
