By: E&P Staff Jim Clark has joined the Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch advertising department, the paper announced recently.
Clark will work as a new revenue development manager, which is a newly created position at the paper. His duties will include increasing revenue and market share for the Times-Dispatch by identifying, developing, and managing new products and services.
Clark has worked in media advertising and management for over 16 years. His prior experience includes roles as publisher, advertising director, and business development manager. He also held positions at the Gannett Company, where he helped develop and launch print and online products.
The Times-Dispatch also announced that Joe Schwartz has joined the paper as a retail and recruitment inside sales manager in the advertising inside sales department. His responsibilities will include monitoring the inbound and outbound telephone calling efforts in the retail, recruitment, services, and merchandise categories.
Schwartz most recently worked with Premier Real Estate Auctions, Inc., where he was the call center sales director of acquisitions. His prior experience includes 13 years working in newspaper sales at Contract Companies, which is an organization that sells ad space for U.S. newspapers, and 2 years managing inside sales departments.
