Gawker is shaking up its editorial management structure, removing editorial director Joel Johnson and creating two new positions: executive editor and group managing editor.
This afternoon, Gawker owner Nick Denton sent a memo to staff, first published by Romenesko, announcing that Gawker Media would create the two new positions and fill them by the beginning of next year.
