By: E&P Staff John Fee, editor of The Bartlett (Tenn.) Express and The Cordova (Tenn.) Beacon, has been promoted to editorial and operations vice president and publisher of the two papers, as well as for the Independent in Collierville, Tenn., and The Shelby Sun Times in Germantown, Tenn.
All four papers are operated by Suburban Community Newspapers Group, headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., an affiliate of Family Publishing Group, based in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.
Fee has worked at the Bartlett Express and Cordova Beacon for the past three years, starting as news editor for the two papers. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2000, he was editor and publisher of The Millington (Tenn.) Star, and before that he worked as editor, writer, and photographer for various Internet travel sites.
