Local billionaire John Henry introduced his new baby, a life sciences publication coined STAT News, last week with the kind of fanfare usually reserved for the day's biggest news. In other words, it appeared on the pages of another Henry property,The Boston Globe.

To the chagrin of Boston Globe staffers, it wasn’t the first time the media giant had carved out space both online and in print for STAT News, and it wasn’t the last.
