Johnston Press Cancels All Staff Salary Reviews for 2012

Regional newspaper publisher Johnston Press has cancelled all staff salary reviews for this year, instead offering an additional day leave.

The publisher, which last week shut five more local newspaper offices, affecting titles including the South Yorkshire Times and the Mansfield Chad, said that a company-wide decision had been taken to defer all staff salary reviews for 2012 by six months.
