By: E&P Staff Journal Communications has sold its Louisiana Publishing Group to an affiliate of Target Media Partners. Terms of the deal, brokered by Dirks, Van Essen & Murray, were not disclosed.
The Louisiana Publishing Group consists of three vehicle photographic publications, a general interest shopper, and two companion Web sites.
"We made the strategic decision to sell our Louisiana-based publishing operations to more closely focus our community newspaper and shopper clusters in areas where we either have, or can create, a deep media offering," said Elizabeth "Betsy" Brenner, president and COO of Journal Communications, in a statement.
Target Media Partners is a print and online publisher of local classified and use vehicle photo advertising, information, and employment for truck drivers and wholesale merchandise advertising.
Journal Communications, publisher of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, operates 75 community newspapers and shoppers, 35 radio stations, and 10 TV stations.
