By: E&P Staff The Reuters Foundation, in collaboration with the Stanley Foundation, is accepting applications from U.S. journalists to participate in an all-expenses-paid journalism training course in Beijing, China, Nov. 10-14.

Six American journalists will be paired with six Chinese journalists in a program designed to help reporters develop international news writing skills for U.S. and Chinese audiences. Guest speakers, reporting field trips, and classroom training will be part of the course.

Participating U.S. journalists will be encouraged to explore connections to China in their local communities and file stories based on the reporting they conduct in Beijing.

This is the fourth collaboration between the Reuters Foundation and Stanley Foundation. Previous courses were held in Beirut, Lebanon, and Mumbai, India.

Sept. 12 is the application deadline. For more information, click here.

The Reuters Foundation is the charitable arm of the Reuters news agency. The Stanley Foundation is a nonpartisan, privately operated foundation based in Muscatine, Iowa, that "focuses on peace and security issues and advocates principled multilateralism."
