Judge Allows Videotaped Confession Into Ex-Carrier's Trial

By: Tulsa County prosecutors will be allowed to use videotape of a former Tulsa World newspaper carrier allegedly confessing to killing two elderly women who lived along his route.

District Judge Jesse Harris says the alleged confessions indicate to him that Paul Williford was speaking voluntarily and giving more information than being asked.

The judge also says he sees no mental challenges for Williford during the interview with police.

Williford is accused of killing 75-year-old Geraldine Lawhorn on September 28th, 2005, and 73-year-old Donna Jo Stauffer on October 11th, 2005.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin Tuesday in Williford's trial.

Williford is currently serving four life sentences for sexual battery, assault and battery with an intent to kill, burglary and robbery for attacking another woman who lived on his delivery route.
