By: A Polk County judge is ordering the Iowa Board of Regents to turn over some recordings and meeting minutes from closed sessions a newspaper alleges violated state open meeting laws.
The judge says attorneys for the Iowa City Press-Citizen may review records from two closed meetings held in November 2006 and part of the record from a third meeting that month.
The newspaper is suing the regents, arguing that they violated the state's open-meetings law by not providing proper public notice.
