Judge Orders Some Sealed Documents Opened in Capital Gazette Murder Trial

Judge Laura Ripken said that anytime attorneys file a document as confidential, it should be accompanied by a motion to seal it. A review by The Capital found that almost 70 percent of almost 1,500 documents linked to the murder trial had been filed as confidential without notice or a motion.
