By: E&P Staff A North Carolina federal judge ruled in favor of a group of newspapers suing the Raleigh-Durham International Airport for baring newspaper racks.

U.S. District Judge Terrence W. Boyle said First Amendment rights outweighed the airport's arguments that the racks could be hiding places for explosives, that they were unsightly and they restricted the flow of traffic, reported the News & Observer.

The News & Observer, Gannett, The New York Times Co., and The Durham Herald Co., filed the lawsuit four years ago.
