Posted
By: E&P Staff Judith Miller, with no more duties at The New York Times to perform, is now free to travel the world, for a fee, of course.

The reporter is now sailing onboard Silversea Cruises as a guest lecturer, part of the line's "Written Word" enrichment program, according to an article in Travel Agent, the newsweekly of that industry. The blog Gawker spotted the item earlier today.

"Miller is onboard the Silver Wind this week on a voyage from Ushuaia, Argentina to Valparaiso, Chile," Travel Agent revealed. Miller is lecturing on a federal shield law to protect journalists and the U.S. involvement in the Middle East.

According to its Web site, the Lefebvre family of Rome founded Silversea in the early 1990s, former owners of Sitmar Cruises. It now has four luxury ships, including the Silver Wind, launched in 1995. Prices for 8- to 12-day cruises tend to run from $4500 to $6500.

Authors who took part in the lecture series earlier this year, accoridng to the site, included Marie Brenner, Brian Hoey, Linda Wells, Bruce McCall and Georgette Mosbacher.
