By: Kevin Kampman, chief operating officer of Community First Holdings, was named publisher Tuesday of The Repository.
He is expected to start his new job in June, succeeding David J. Greenfield, who retired in May after 10 years as publisher.
The Repository, which has an average weekday circulation of about 64,100 and Sunday circulation of 82,300, was purchased in April by GateHouse Media from The Copley Press.
Kampman, 50, has also has worked for Stauffer Communications, as a publisher, marketing director, circulation director and general and circulation manager. He started his newspaper career in 1980 in the circulation department of The Columbus Dispatch.
Kampman also will oversee The (Massillon) Independent and The (Dover-New Philadelphia) Times-Reporter.
