Kathryn Cook Named City Editor of the Herald-Citizen

A former standout newspaper reporter, teacher and most recently a local radio news director joins the Herald-Citizen newsroom this week in the newly created role of city editor.

Kathryn “Kate” Cook, 39, will start in her new position Monday. As City Editor, she will hold the second highest position in the newsroom and focus on multiple beats, including municipal government, Tennessee Tech University, courts, breaking news and investigative reporting.
