By: E&P Staff KBA North America, York, Pa., has added three persons to its customer support team: Western Regional Service Manager Stefan Prohaska, in Portland, Ore., and electrical field technicians Robert Moore, in Buffalo, and Steve Purcell, in Nashville.
The additions correspond to the installation activity that involves the commissioning at five locations of presses that comprise 366 printing couples, eight folders and 65 reels, as well as related training and support.
During 22 years with the company, Prohaska has assisted with the commissioning of numerous presses.
Each with more than two decades of experience, Moore and Purcell possess electronic, electrical, and mechanical expertise suited for on-going or emergency technical support, on location or by phone.
This year, KBA completed commissioning for the Rockford Register Star in May, Kansas City Star in June, and Gannett's Central New York Newspaper Group in July. Commissioning continues at Independent Newspapers, Dover, Del., where a 10-couple Colora is situated at a right angle to the variable-web-width folder arrangement. KBA reports it is "putting the finishing touches" on the Bristol (Va.) Herald Courier's floor-mounted Comet.
