By: The Kennebec Journal of Augusta and Morning Sentinel of Waterville have moved their printing operations to South Portland.

The two central Maine newspapers are being printed on the same press that turns out the Portland Press Herald and Maine Sunday Telegram. All four papers are part of Maine Today Media, and printing is being consolidated to save money.

The Kennebec Journal is being printed in South Portland as of Wednesday, and the Morning Sentinel started rolling off the South Portland presses a week ago. MTM editor and publisher Richard Connor says offices of the two central Maine papers will remain in Augusta and Waterville.
