By: E&P Staff A Q&A with new King Features Syndicate comics editor Brendan Burford is posted today on The Comics Reporter blog.
Burford, 28, was
named to the post on April 23, about five weeks after the death of King editor in chief Jay Kennedy.
In the
interview, Burford discusses his transition from King's associate comics editor to comics editor, some of the syndicate's cartoonists, his own cartooning, the state of the comics industry, and more.
The Q&A was conducted by The Comics Reporter blogger Tom Spurgeon, who wrote for the former King-distributed "Wildwood" strip from 1999 to 2002. Burford joined King as an editorial assistant in January 2000.
