By: E&P Staff King Features Syndicate is offering a food/lifestyle column from the editors of Vegetarian Times magazine starting this Sunday.
"Vegetarian Times" includes recipes, nutritional information, a full-color photograph, and more.
The weekly feature is aimed at both vegetarians and "flexitarians" who eat some or many meatless meals. About 70% of Vegetarian Times subscribers are not strictly vegetarian.
"Vegetarian recipes aren't just for vegetarians," said Val Weaver, editor in chief of the magazine. "They're a great way of putting healthy, delicious food on everyone's table a few times a week."
Last year Weaver became editor in chief of the Vegetarian Times, which was founded in 1974. She also served as a founding editor and editor in chief of Self magazine, editor of Vogue's "Beauty & Health Guide," and in various positions at Fitness, Cooking Light, and Seventeen magazines. In addition, Weaver launched HealthScout.com.
