By: E&P Staff A strip called "Ollie and Quentin" will be launched Jan. 7 by King Features Syndicate.
Piers Baker's comic stars a seagull (Ollie) and a lugworm (Quentin). They're best friends despite the fact that a normal food-chain situation would make Quentin a snack for Ollie.
The strip also includes Nobby, an artist and single guy in whose house the other two characters live.
Baker, who lives in England, created "Ollie and Quentin" in 2002. It has since appeared in a number of newspapers in England, Ireland, and Scotland.
The father of two teenagers is an art school graduate who went on to work as a graphic designer at various agencies before becoming an illustrator of children's schoolbooks. Baker also spent a year doing volunteer work in Egypt.
