By: E&P Staff Lee Enterprises Inc. chose K&M Newspaper Services, Monroe, N.Y., to supply post-press equipment for the Southern Illinoisan in Carbondale, Ill., and Billings (Mont.) Gazette. Both sites will use the new K&M Titan G60 inserting system, powered by Miracom, as well as new K-Track belt press conveyors and various floor equipment.

Other recent orders came from: the Bristol (Tenn., Va.) Herald-Courier (Titan G3 inserting system); Reforma, Mexico City (1372R inserter, floor distribution equipment); The Winchester (Va.) Star (1472R inserter, K-Track conveyor); Daily News-Record, Harrisonburg, Va. (1472R inserter, K-Track conveyor); The Eagle, Bryan, Texas (1472R inserter); The Times Argus, Barre, Vt. (K-Track conveyor); and The Herald, New Britain, Conn. (K-Track and floor conveyors).

K&M also reported sales of HL 2000 mini hopper loaders to Charleston (W.Va.) Newspapers and Gannett's Springfield (Va.) Offset, The Tennessean, Nashville, and Courier Post, Cherry Hill, N.J.

Gripper chains were to be upgraded at The Toronto Star; Indianapolis Star; Detroit Newspaper Partnership; Tribune Direct in Chicago; Pensacola (Fla.) News Journal; The Clarion-Ledger in Jackson, Miss.; and The Press Democrat, Santa Rosa, Calif.
