By: E&P Staff K&M Newspaper Services Inc., Monroe, N.Y., has sold Tital G60 inserting systems to the Daily Press, Victorville, Calif., and Calkins Media, based in Levittown, Pa., bringing total sales of the shaftless servo-driven inserter to eight since it was introduced two years ago.
K&M will provide the Daily Press with a dual-delivery (one gripper, one K-Track belt conveyor), 18-station Titan G60 with Miracom controls, Dual Format pockets, K-Track press conveyor and HL 2000 hopper loaders. Calkins Media will get a single-delivery (gripper), 22-station G60 with Miracom inserter and stacker controls.
Other recent inserting system orders for 1472R and K-Track conveyor came from the Kearney (Neb.) Hub, The Telegraph, Alton, Ill., Culpeper (Va.) Star-Exponent and The Bismarck (N.D.) Tribune.
Inserters were relocated and rebuilt for Northwest Newspapers, Crystal Lake, Ill., The Daily Herald, Provo, Utah, Record-Journal, Meriden, Conn., The Daily News, Longview, Wash., Sound Publishing, Everett, Wash., Rochester (N.Y.) Democrat and Chronicle, and The Macon (Ga.) Telegraph.
K-Track press conveyor, floor conveyor and bundle-distribution systems were sold to the Savannah (Ga.) Morning News, The Post-Journal, Jamestown, N.Y., The Bradenton (Fla.) Herald, The Eagle, Bryan, Texas, Fort Wayne (Ind.) Newspapers, The News & Observer, Raleigh, N.C., The Macon Telegraph, The Daily News, Longview, Wash., and Cape Coral (Fla.) Daily Breeze.
Inserter control upgrades and/or TMC inkjet labeling were ordered by The Jackson (Tenn.) Sun, Culpeper-Star-Exponent, Bryan, Texas, Eagle, Raleigh News & Observer, and The Macon Telegraph.
