By: E&P Staff "The K Chronicles" won a Glyph Award as best comic strip at this weekend's East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention in Philadelphia.
Keith Knight's self-syndicated strip was chosen over four other comics: "(th)ink" by Knight, "Candorville" by Darrin Bell of the Washington Post Writers Group, "The Boondocks" by Aaron McGruder of Universal Press Syndicate, and "Mama's Boyz" by Jerry Craft of King Features Weekly Service.
McGruder, whose comic is on sabbatical, did win in the best-male-character category for his Huey Freeman creation in "The Boondocks."
