Amid concerns about fake news and unreliable sources of information, the role of accountability reporting and quality journalism in today’s democracy is more important than ever. To advance this goal, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation today launched the Knight News Match to support select nonprofit newsrooms with matching grants up to a total of $1.5 million.
